Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager: Development, the Junior Developer is responsible for designing and implementing high-quality, maintainable, and efficient source code as per functional specifications. They will develop NodeJS/NestJS applications, integrate with technologies like JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5, and work within a Scrum development framework. Responsibilities also include testing, debugging, and ensuring that solutions align with PPS’s architectural and design standards.

Responsibilities

• Participate in technical scoping sessions to define and align technology, design, and tools Translate functional/technical specifications into executable source code Utilize tools and applications to support SDLC processes Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users and project management teams Engage in performance management and career growth initiatives Develop and test software solutions Perform database administration and create SQL statements Conduct unit and integration testing Ensure adherence to coding best practices and standards

Qualifications

• Matric
• Preferred qualifications: B
• Comm, B
• Eng, BSc Eng, BSc Informatics, or related degree/diploma
• Knowledge of web technologies: HTML, HTML5, XML, CSS, and NodeJS (advantageous)
• 2–3 years of experience in Java 7 and JEE (e
• g
• , Servlets, JSP, EJB, REST, SOAP, JPA/Hibernate)
• Experience with JBOSS and MS SQL Server
• 2–3 years’ experience with build tools such as Maven and ANT
• 2+ years of NodeJS development experience
• Familiarity with XML, LDAP, and tools like XDE
