We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be the face of our establishment, providing excellent customer service while handling transactions accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with purchases
• Accurately handle cash, card, and digital payments
• Scan and process items efficiently while ensuring accurate pricing
• Issue receipts, refunds, or change as needed
• Maintain the cash register and ensure its accuracy at the start and end of each shift
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area

Qualifications

• Grade 12 certificate (Matric) or equivalent
• Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar customer service role is preferred
• Basic math and computer skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Must be honest, reliable, and possess a high level of integrity
• Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
