Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain microservices in AWS that support Atlassian Cloud apps
• Investigate and resolve production issues for shared services in collaboration with other teams
• Contribute to engineering best practices for shared services reliability and scalability
• Design, implement, test, deploy, and monitor new functionalities using continuous delivery practices

Qualifications

• Proficiency in one backend language (eg Java, Python, PHP) and one front-end framework (eg React, Angular, Vue)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across time zones
• Experience with CI/CD for software delivery
• Familiarity with Agile development practices
• Experience working with and building services in AWS (experience with other cloud providers is also valued)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code for Cloud infrastructure
• Knowledge of the Atlassian Ecosystem
• Experience designing and building high-scale distributed systems
