The role involves creating and maintaining data processing procedures, supporting business selections, marketing, understanding credit, fraud, and channels, and maintaining predictive machine-learning models to guide decision-making in Marketing, Credit Risk, and Channels.

Responsibilities

• • Maintaining and implementing data implementations and selections
• • Collaborating with Business and IT teams to implement proposed solutions
• • Leading a team of Junior Data Scientists
• • Setting clear performance expectations and providing coaching and professional development opportunities
• • Promoting a collaborative and innovative team culture
• • Monitoring and maintaining predictive models in production
• • Delivering consistent, accurate, and scientific reports in excel
• • Quantifying uncertainty surrounding estimates and presenting results clearly
• • Adherence and contribution to best practice
• • Maintaining and contributing to the data science tool kit
• • Continuously automating regular processes

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree containing mathematics, statistics or computer science
• Advance SAS Language (WPS, Altair or similar SAS base programming) skills
• Previous experience in Retail and/or Credit sector advantageous
• Previous data science, machine learning or statistical role
• High proficiency in MS Excel
• Statistics and probability theory
