Description

The role focuses on driving Analytics and Data Science within iTOO, aiming to transform key decision processes like Underwriting, Claims, Sales, and Product Design using insights, analytics, machine learning, and AI for substantial bottom line value.

Responsibilities

• • Provide statistical analysis, forecasting, predictive modelling, simulation, and optimization
• • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
• • Enhance data collection procedures and communicate findings to business users
• • Design quantitative advanced analytics models that answer business questions and discover opportunities for improvement
• • Stay current with developments in advanced analytics technology and methodologies
• • Coach and mentor junior Data Scientists/Analysts
• • Present findings to management and business
• • Assist in identifying, prioritising, and delivering on key business opportunities
• • Drive buy-in for analytical decision making and advanced analytics
• • Partner with stakeholders to identify business requirements and expected outcomes
• • Quantify the accuracy of metrics for analysis and present findings in easy-to-understand terms
• • Develop data science solutions, including the use of Machine learning, Cloud technologies, and API’s
• • Migrate existing on-prem solutions to the cloud
• • Partner with business to understand the value analytics and data science can play in their environments

Qualifications

• • Matric
• • Bsc (Science, Maths, Statistics), Engineering, Computer Science
• • Data Science specific degree
