Hollard is seeking an IT System Support/Developer to provide technical support for the Finance IT team. This role involves working across multiple business areas and teams to deliver support and develop solutions tailored to business needs. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of financial systems while adapting to the requirements of various finance projects, environments, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist the development manager with software design and coding
• Attend and contribute to development meetings
• Write and maintain SQL queries
• Monitor internal system performance and troubleshoot issues
• Provide support for Microsoft Great Plains
• Conduct development tests and write reports
• Respond to requests from the development team and gather user feedback
• Adapt to Agile development methodologies
• Utilize programming languages (C++, Java, JavaScript) and frameworks (eg AngularJS, Git)
• Apply database knowledge and ORM frameworks (eg Hibernate)

Qualifications

• IT Degree or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
• Familiarity with basic coding languages (C++, HTML5, JavaScript)
• Basic programming and database knowledge
• Strong SQL skills and technical programming abilities
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and relationship management skills
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Familiarity with JIRA and Kanban
