Decision Inc. is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join the Data Information and Analytics team as a client-facing, full-time consultant. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as proficiency in at least one statistical platform, such as Python. You will work across various industries, making it essential to quickly adapt to new business environments. Decision Inc. specializes in enabling clients to make faster, better decisions by implementing, supporting, and executing technologies like Qlik, Microsoft BI, Tableau, R, Python, Alteryx, and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Develop Predictive and Prescriptive Models to improve decision-making for clients
• Collaborate with business analysts in analysis and design sessions to create tailored solutions
• Analyze client data and processes to uncover insights that drive business improvement
• Integrate models into BI solutions with the consulting team
• Communicate progress effectively with clients and project teams
• Generate insight reports and present recommendations

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related analytical field
• Preferably BSc (Honours), BComm (Honours), or a Master’s degree in a related field
• 3 years of experience in SQL or Oracle
• 2 years of experience with R, Python, SAS, MATLAB, Rapid Miner, or SAP Predictive Analytics
• Consulting experience is an advantage
• Strong understanding of data methodologies, solution delivery, and analytical approaches
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work within a team and manage deliverables proactively
• Organizational skills, deadline-driven approach, and eagerness to learn
