Description

The main purpose of this position is to contribute to the plan, design, and execution of test plans and test cases that verify software conformance to defined acceptance criteria and application standards. The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of quality solutions for the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional, integration, usability, configuration, installation, system, regression, and user acceptance testing
• Analyze business requirements and perform gap analysis for comprehensive testing
• Compile and execute test cases and scenarios, ensuring a structured approach to testing
• Manage defects to ensure high-quality solutions
• Produce and communicate progress on testing efforts, results, activities, and reports to support implementation approvals
• Collaborate with analysts, designers, developers, and system owners on new requirements testing

Qualifications

• A National Diploma (NQF 6) in Information Technology (IT) or equivalent qualification
• Two to five years’ experience in an IT environment, specifically in testing
• Strong conceptual thinking and effective communication skills
• A drive for results and teamwork, with a focus on service and stakeholder engagement
• Ability to build and maintain relationships, alongside strong judgment and decision-making skills
