BKB is seeking a dedicated Auction Clerk to manage the entire auction process, ensuring smooth and accurate transactions from registration to final sales. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, committed to exceptional service, and able to positively impact clients' auction experiences. This role requires overseeing auction activities, ensuring precise documentation, monitoring client payments, and completing all associated administrative and accounting tasks. Building positive client relationships and maintaining a professional image is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Organize and prepare auction materials, including catalogs and listings
• Set up the auction venue and ensure items are displayed correctly
• Register bidders and manage the bidding process with accurate record-keeping
• Coordinate with the auctioneer to maintain orderly proceedings
• Collect and process payments from winning bidders efficiently
• Maintain detailed sales records and provide exceptional customer service
• Assist with post-auction communications, item retrieval, and regulatory compliance
• Support inventory tracking before and after auctions and contribute to marketing efforts

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) with at least 2 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
• Valid driver's license with experience in long-distance driving
• Ability to work independently and showcase strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent administrative skills, keen attention to detail, and time management
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and people skills
• Self-confidence, punctuality, and assertiveness in fulfilling responsibilities
