Description

The Electrical Apprentice will work closely with a skilled Electrician, gaining hands-on experience in maintenance and fault finding. Responsibilities include cable reticulation, performing industrial and domestic installations of electrical circuits and motors, and testing and commissioning new electrical equipment. The apprentice will also learn the efficient use of power and hand tools, adhering strictly to AECI’s safety standards and codes of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist Electrician with maintenance and fault finding
• Conduct cable reticulation and installations for industrial and domestic electrical circuits and motors
• Test and commission new electrical equipment
• Ensure efficient and safe use of power tools and hand tools
• Follow AECI safety standards and codes of practice

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12
• N3 certification (required to apply for trade test)
• Driver’s license (advantageous)
• Electrical experience (advantageous)
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Strong safety awareness
