The Test Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software deployments within Hollard Life Solutions. This position involves providing quality assurance on IT development projects by validating that all software meets business requirements and specifications. The successful candidate will review business and functional requirements, develop and execute test cases, and manage defect reporting and resolution processes. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, the Test Analyst will contribute to the enhancement of testing processes and standards, ensuring that all products delivered to clients are of the highest quality. Responsibilities

  • Review business and functional requirement specs
  • Extract all testable requirements and identify issues in the specifications
  • Create and maintain test cases and test data
  • Establish/update the traceability between business requirements and test cases and procedures
  • Contribute to the development of the testing processes and standards
  • Execute the manual and automated tests
  • Manage defects identify, log, and follow up on all outstanding defects with developers
  • Retest all resolved defects (both in projects and maintenance)
  • Compile a test summary
  • Assist in user acceptance testing activity for projects and maintenance initiatives
  • Attend CAB meetings leading up to deployment to production
  • Provide support to business in filtering queries and liaising with developers
  • Conduct sanity testing in production post-deployment
  • Maintain awareness of best practices and industry standards

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the Life Insurance industry, with a strong understanding of related software applications and processes
  • Recognized certification in software testing, such as ISEB or ISTQB, is advantageous
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
  • Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into test cases effectively
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies, including both manual and automated testing
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on attention to detail and high accuracy in work output
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Proactive mindset and ability to work independently under pressure while maintaining a high standard of work
