BET Software is looking for a dynamic Junior Software Quality Engineer (SQE1) to join their team in the Western Cape. Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis and design by reviewing documentation like business requirements and specifications to derive test estimates and formulate strategic test approaches
• Develop automation and load testing scripts that adhere to internal standards using version control tools
• Execute technical tests, including automated regression testing packs, with a focus on accuracy and methodical processes
• Manage defects by formally logging and following up on their resolution, conducting retesting when necessary
• Conduct both retesting and regression testing to ensure software changes do not negatively impact functionality or performance
• Create and maintain automated regression test packs
• Generate progress and completion reports using automated reporting tools as much as possible
• Develop documentation to promote knowledge sharing within the team

Qualifications

• BSc, BCom, NDip
• At least 1 year of experience in a software testing role
• ISTQB certifications are advantageous
