Description

As a Fitter & Turner apprentice, you will be trained in the skills necessary to install, maintain, and repair machinery. You will work in an industrial setting, developing precision components and ensuring that equipment runs efficiently. The training will combine theoretical learning at a recognized training center and practical experience at Timbadola sawmill.

Responsibilities

• Learn to install, repair, and maintain industrial machinery
• Perform precision machining and turning operations
• Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently
• Complete practical and theoretical training
• Participate in the final summative Trade Test to become a certified Fitter & Turner

Qualifications

• Must be a South African citizen
• Must be aged between 18 and 35
• Grade 12 is recommended (not mandatory)
• Minimum N2 or Level 3 TVET certificate in Fitting & Turning or related trade theory
