Description

The Security Management role is responsible for the overall safety and security of the organization’s assets, personnel, and infrastructure. The successful candidate will oversee the development and enforcement of security policies, conduct risk assessments, and manage a security team. This role involves working closely with law enforcement and external agencies to investigate security breaches and ensure the protection of the organization's interests. Additionally, the candidate will manage security technologies, ensuring they operate efficiently, and provide training to staff on security protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security, law enforcement, or investigations, with excellent leadership and problem-solving skills to handle the diverse challenges of ensuring a secure environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage security policies and procedures to safeguard the organization’s assets, personnel, and operations
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify security vulnerabilities and implement measures to mitigate risks
  • Oversee the security team, ensuring effective monitoring and response to security incidents
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and external security partners to investigate and resolve security breaches
  • Manage security technologies such as CCTV systems, access control, and alarm systems to ensure they are functioning optimally
  • Provide training to employees on security awareness and procedures to ensure adherence to safety protocols
  • Develop and maintain crisis management and emergency response plans to ensure quick and effective responses to potential threats
  • Ensure compliance with all security-related laws and regulations, regularly reviewing and updating security policies as necessary

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Policing, Law, Investigations, Social Sciences, or Security Management
  • Strong understanding of security policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Knowledge of risk management, crisis management, and security incident investigation
  • Familiarity with laws and regulations related to security, safety, and public protection
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with law enforcement agencies and external security service providers
  • Experience with security technology, including surveillance systems and access control
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, especially in assessing potential threats and vulnerabilities
