The job aims to provide graduates with practical work experience by contributing to the company's hygiene program, maintaining the ISO 17020 system, and ensuring legal compliance. Minimum qualifications include an NQF 7 degree in Environmental Health / Occupational Hygiene, an occupational hygiene legal knowledge certificate, good understanding and technical knowledge within the field of study, and being medically fit for BMR and PMR.
The training program includes a 24-month internship, enhancing general knowledge of the platinum industry, understanding hygiene practices, SANAS 17020 requirements, and the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSH). Experience in monitoring ventilation systems, conducting health risk assessments, and contributing to the personal monitoring program is also included.
