Gijima and Microsoft are partnering to launch The Data Science Program 2024/2025, aiming to attract young, multi-disciplined graduates with limited work experience. The program aims to groom graduates to fit various industries' culture. Each cohort of 20 students will be hosted for six months. The learning entry level requirements include a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, IT, Informatics, and Engineering, a foundational English language skills, and the ability to use a personal computer. The program is an employment equity opportunity, open to South African citizens aged 18-35, with clear credit and no criminal record. Applicants must be currently unemployed, not participating in another learnership or internship program, and live in Cape Town, with relocation being an option.
